Denzel Washington Prayed and Read the Bible Every Day

Denzel Washington revealed that while shooting the forthcoming film, “Roman J. Israel, Esq.,” he and producer and writer Dan Gilroy prayed and read the Bible every day.

“God put us together,” the 62-year-old Academy Award winner told The Gospel Herald during a press junket at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Los Angeles Saturday. “We prayed every day, we read the daily Word every day.”

He added, “Dan and I have been prayer partners in this whole collaboration…We were on the same page from day one. We know Who we work for, and we’re just trying to do our best work.”

Roman J. Israel, Esq.,” also starring actors Colin Farrell and Carmen Ejogo, follows an idealistic defense attorney (Washington) whose deeply-held beliefs are shaken when an unexpected series of events challenge his passion for helping the poor and disenfranchised.

“He is Old Testament, he knows the law, but, not to say he doesn’t have faith, but he has faith in the law,” Washington explained of his character. “His conviction was through the law.”

While the film isn’t “faith-based,” it’s chock-full of biblical themes, including sacrifice, (Roman gives up family, fortune, and reputation for the sake of a cause he firmly believes in), honor, and faith in the unseen.

“I speak now and I’m doing what God told me to do from the beginning,” Washington told GH. “It was prophesied that I would travel the world and preach to millions of people. It was prophesied when I was 20. I thought it was through my work and it has been.”

“My mother said to me when I was 59, she said, ‘Denzel, you do a lot of good. You have to do good the right way and you know what I’m talking about,'” Washington continued. “I don’t drink anymore, I don’t do any of those things. I’m all about the message, to the degree that I know it, and I’m unashamed and unafraid to share it!”

In the age of social media, Washington said it’s easy to lose sight of one’s convictions, as society is constantly bombarded with an overwhelming amount of information.

“I was reading about this today in my prayer and meditation – it is so difficult to trust that Jesus died for our sins because the mind never shuts off, especially in this world,” he said. “We know, we know, we know, but we forget, moment by moment.”

He urged young people to ask themselves: “What is the long, if not short-term effect of too much information?”

“It’s accelerated now, it’s on steroids, it’s moving so fast that it’s almost impossible to keep up,” Washington said of the social media age. “What happens to the part of the brain that figures things out? We better understand that we are addicted to this,” he added, holding up a cell phone. “It’s not its fault, it’s a magnification and a reflection of our own free will.”

Washington revealed that Pastor A.R. Bernard, senior pastor of Christian Cultural Center in Brooklyn, New York, once shared with him Daniel chapter 10 from the Bible, saying, “‘God puts leaders in place for a reason and a season.'”

“There’s a reason, you may not like what’s going on but the boss has a reason,” Washington said, pointing heavenward.

Like Roman, Washington urged millennials to hold fast to their convictions and share the truth of the gospel with a watching world — no matter how unpopular.

“I pray for your generation,” he said. “What an opportunity you have! Don’t be depressed by it because we have to go through this, we’re here now. You can’t put that thing back in the box.”

The actor went on to say that his father, who was a pastor, once “slapped him down” because he questioned his father’s predictions about the End Times.

“Each generation, we’re all guilty of it, we think it’s gonna happen when we’re here. We as a species, God’s children, have to go through this!” he emphasized. “We don’t know where we are in it [the End Times]’. We may think we’re at 10, but we may just be at one. None of us know, but we are going through it. And you, after we’re long gone, are going to have to go through. So at least be aware.”

He added, “I would say to your generation – find a way to work together because this is a very divisive, angry time you’re living in, unfortunately, because we didn’t grow up like that.”

“Roman J. Israel, Esq.” hits theaters on Nov. 22. For more information on “Roman J. Israel, Esq.” visit the movie’s website.

APOLOGETICS IN THE GOSPEL OF JOHN

John is my favorite gospel, because the thing reads like a well constructed essay. The author makes a number of claims about who Jesus was, and supplies evidence for each claim. There is nothing extraneous to John’s thesis, the whole thing that he wrote is designed to make a case.

My friend Eric Chabot wrote a post on his blog on the use of apologetics in the gospel of John. (H/T J. Warner Wallace tweet)

Here is his thesis:

In this post, I will highlight some of the different ways John utilizes apologetics in his testimony of who Jesus is.

He talks about how God has his messengers use evidence:

3.Signs and Miracles

While actions by other prophets such as Ezekiel and Jeremiah etc. show some significant parallels to Jesus, Jesus is closer to the actions of the Jewish sign prophetssuch as Moses. “Signs” have a specific apologetic function in that they are used to provide evidence for people to believe the message of God through a prophet of God. Hence, the signs Moses does proves he is truly sent from God. Moses had struggled with his prophetic call when he said “ But they will not believe me or listen to my voice, for they will say ‘The Lord did not appear to you.’ (Exod. 4:1). God assures Moses that the “signs” will confirm his call:

God says, “I will be with you. And this will be אוֹת “the sign” to you that it is I who have sent you” (Exod. 3:12).

“If they will not believe you,” God said, “or listen to the first sign, they may believe the latter sign. If they will not believe even these two signs or listen to your voice, you shall take some water from the Nile and pour it on the dry ground, and the water that you shall take from the Nile will become blood on the dry ground.” (Exod 4: 8-9).

We see the signs are used to help people believe.

Moses “performed the “signs” before the people, and they believed; … they bowed down and worshiped” (Exod. 4:30–31)

So what did Jesus do?

“Works” are directly related to the miracles of Jesus (Jn. 5:20; 36;10:25; 32-28; 14:10-12; 15:24) and is synonymous with “signs.” Interestingly enough, when Jesus speaks of miracles and he calls them “works” he doesn’t refer to Exod. 4:1-9, but to Num. 16:28, “Hereby you shall know that the LORD has sent me to do all these works, and that it has not been of my own accord.” For example:

Jesus answered them, “I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in my Father’s name bear witness about me” (John 10:25).

If I am not doing the works of my Father, then do not believe me; but if I do them, even though you do not believe me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me and I am in the Father.” (John 10:37-38).

But the testimony that I have is greater than that of John. For the works that the Father has given me to accomplish, the very works that I am doing, bear witness about me that the Father has sent me (John 5: 36)

“Sign”(sēmeion) is used seventy-seven times (forty-eight times in the Gospels). As far as the “signs’ Jesus does, 29:18-19; 35:5-6; 42:18; 61:1). In John’s Gospel, Jesus performs three “signs,” at the beginning of his ministry; the water turned into wine at Cana at Galilee (2:1-12), the healing of the son of the royal official at Capernaum (4:46-64), and catching of the fish in the sea of Galilee (21:1-14). The link between the first two signs in Jn 2:12 while the link between the last two are seen in Jn 7:1, 3-4, 6, 9. Jesus follows the pattern of Moses in that he reveals himself as the new Moses because Moses also had to perform three “signs” so that he could be recognized by his brothers as truly being sent by God (Exod 4: 1-9). In the exchange between Nicodemus said to Jesus, Nicodemus said, We know you are a teacher who has come from God. For no one could perform the miraculous signs you are doing if God were not with him” (John 3:2)

Also, regarding miracles, in some cases the miracle is a witness against those who reject this evidence. John grieved: “Even after Jesus had done all these miraculous signs in their presence, they still would not believe in him” (John 12:37). One result, though not the purpose, of miracles is condemnation of the unbeliever (cf. John 12:31, 37).

The gospel of John is so good. Or is it that Jesus is just so good to not be like some idiot who just says things that no one can test? That would be stupid and annoying – it’s much better for Jesus to do these signs so that people could believe him about his identity and purpose. Do you like Jesus? I like Jesus.

I read John a long time ago, when I was about 10 or 11 years old.I can’t remember what I thought of it, but it probably had a very good effect on me as far as making me think that Christianity was something that I ought to look into. The gospel of John is that good. Philippians is still my favorite book of the Bible (because it’s practical, duh), but John is the best introduction. It’s the first thing a non-Christian should read to at least understand what Christianity is all about. Everybody should at least know that!

‘SEX AND THE CITY’ INSPIRATION CANDACE BUSHNELL REACHES AGE 60 CHILDLESS AND ALONE

Did you know that there is a real woman who inspired the feminist fairy tale TV show “Sex in the City”? She had an enormous influence on young women, who wanted the glamour, fun, and consequence-free sex with “high value” no-commitment men. Most women who adopted the values of the show probably thought that this path would eventually lead to marriage and children.

My friend Chris sent me this article from Fox News, which talks the woman who inspired the show’s storyline.

It says:

“Sex and the City” may have left a trailblazing legacy for women on television, but the book’s original author now thinks her independent lifestyle may not have been as rewarding.

Candace Bushnell, 60, who wrote the original 1997 novel which spawned the successful TV series for HBO, opened up to Sunday Times Magazine about her 2012 divorce, admitting it made her realize how not starting a family made her feel “truly alone.”

“When I was in my 30s and 40s, I didn’t think about it,” she recalled. “Then when I got divorced and I was in my 50s, I started to see the impact of not having children and of truly being alone. I do see that people with children have an anchor in a way that people who have no kids don’t.”

I do think that it’s important for young women to really consider where they want to be when they are 30, 40, 50, etc. A wise person should seek to pattern their decisions off of the decisions of people who have reached the goals that they themselves want to reach. Candace Bushnell clearly has failed to achieve her goals. And those who listen to her will, likewise, fail to achieve the goals of marriage and children.

Making decisions today to achieve goals tomorrow
It’s important not to put too much faith in TV shows. Or any fiction.

Whenever I see women reading books in the office, I always ask them: is that fiction or non-fiction? In 19 years of full-time work, I have never had a woman answer non-fiction. And they usually answer “romance”. Well, I supposed if you were a fictional character, then you might take the advice of fictional characters. But if you are a real person, then you should look at the way the world really works. You should read peer-reviewed research, and take the advice of real people who have come up from humble beginnings to achieve the goals that you want to achieve.

After all, if your goal was to retire at 50, wouldn’t it make sense to read books about investing, and take the advice of successful investors? It certainly would not make sense to imitate the characters in TV shows and movies made by Hollywood divorcers, adulterers, rapists and pedophiles. And yet so many women do the latter with marriage and children decision-making. They seem to derive some sort of unquestionable emotional delight from making important decisions based on appearances, intuitions, peer-approval, etc.

Why listen to celebrities, teachers, politicians, etc. who have infidelities, no children, failed marriages, etc.? Why make decisions by counting votes from your no-achievement peer group? If you want to reach a goal, then there is only one way to proceed, and that’s by consulting the evidence, and seeking guidance from those with demonstrated results.

For example, when I was choosing which state to live in, I made a spreadsheet and filled it with all sorts of rankings of the 50 states that I pulled out of research papers and reports. I looked at things like infrastructure, income tax, economic growth, business friendliness, cost of living, tax as a % of income, abortion laws, support for traditional marriage, single motherhood, gun laws, concealed carry laws, fiscal solvency, etc. I moved here, and I’ve become very wealthy as a result. And my state has actually moved upward in gun rights rankings, fiscal solvency rankings, tax rankings, etc. since I got here. We’re even trying to pass pro-life laws! When you make decisions using evidence and when you listen to good advice from people who have real achievements, you succeed.

Don’t make decisions about sex, marriage and children by “following your heart”. That’s the lesson.

WHY DO CHRISTIAN MEN PREFER TO MARRY VIRGINS?

Some Christian women argue that chastity is an “idol” that detracts from Jesus’ “gospel of forgiveness”. Basically, they claim that although premarital sex is a sin, it shouldn’t stop a man from marrying them, because they can just make the sin disappear by asking Jesus for forgiveness. But does this really address the underlying concern that men with have marrying a non-virgin?

Let’s start with an example (reported by Daily Wire), then analyze what is going on here:

Though “The Bachelorette” star Hannah Brown has been open about her Christian faith this past season, she also openly boasted about premarital sex as if it were no big deal.

“I have had sex, and, honestly, Jesus still loves me,” Brown said on Monday’s episode.

[…]Brown later spoke with Entertainment Tonight about her religious views on Christ, which boil down to a “personal relationship with Jesus” without doctrinal accountability.

“Regardless of anything that I’ve done … well people might think, ‘Oh, that deserves a scarlet letter.’ That’s not how it works. I can do whatever — I sin daily and Jesus still loves me. It’s all washed and if the Lord doesn’t judge me and it’s all forgiven, then no other man, woman … can judge me,” Brown told Entertainment Tonight.

So to start with, Transformed Wife has a spiritual reflection this, which you can read. The Bible teaches that sex outside of marriage is rebellion against God, and Jesus tells people who sin that they are forgiven, but that they should “sin no more”. Sinning no more is hard. But what should be easy is not telling everyone that sinning is OK, like Hannah Brown did. She doesn’t think that the Bible has the authority to say NO to her feelings and desires. Already, this is a red flag for men who feel that they can’t trust a woman who is willing to throw out Bible verses when it goes against her desires.

Even among Christians, premarital sex is the rule, not the exception:

As many as 80 percent of unmarried evangelical young adults have had sex, according to an analysis of a study on sexual activity in the upcoming October issue of Relevant, a Christian magazine.

Young adults between the ages of 18 and 29 who identify themselves as evangelicals are almost as sexually active as their non-Christian peers, according to the article “(Almost) Everyone’s Doing It.”

This study from Live Science makes clear that young people see avoiding commitment as an intended benefit of premarital sex.

Two-thirds of participants said they had been in a “friends with benefits” relationship, and 36 percent said they currently were in one. The main advantage of such a relationship was “no commitment” (reported by 59.7 percent of participants), which was followed closely by “have sex” (55.6 percent).

Let’s decide what premarital sex tells marriage-minded Christian men about a woman.

What a woman’s choice to have recreational premarital sex tells a marriage-minded man
What kind of men do women choose for recreational premarital sex? Well, they choose men who don’t commit to marriage before sex. It’s not as if women are choosing these men because they are good at commitment behaviors; sobriety, fidelity, charity, protecting children, etc. A premarital-sex woman thinks that a no-commitment man is the best man. If she thought that a marriage-minded man were best, she’d be giving him sex – after marrying him. She uses her temporary supply of youth and beauty to reward the no-commitment man for his “superiority”. What makes him superior? A bunch of superficial traits like height, tattoos, piercings, arrogance, etc. – basically, he’s fun in the moment.

The commitment man is bad, because he just wants to burden her with a “boring” marriage commitment. Commitment requires moral boundaries that would reduce her fun. For example, the commitment man might tell her “these research papers say that it’s best for our newborn if you quit your job and stay home, instead of putting them into daycare”. Or he might say, “we can’t afford your shopping” or “your smoking is bad for our pregnant baby”. And she doesn’t want to deal with this “controlling” behavior – not right now, anyway. Her youth and beauty needs to be used to chase her real priority, which is fun with the hot bad boys. Marriage is not her first priority, it’s her last resort.

Marriage-minded men can’t lead a family if they marry a woman who does not respect them
So, suppose that a woman passes up marriage-minded men during her young and pretty years. Should a marriage-minded man pursue her after she’s done having fun?

Well, what does her past decision-making reveal about her character? She prefers no-commitment men, and her goal is fun.So how can a woman who chose no-commitment men suddenly change herself completely around and start to like men with commitment skills, (chastity, sobriety, frugality, mentoring, etc.). Marriage-minded men marry in order to lead. But will a woman who prefers no-commitment men and fun allow a man she sees as “boring” and “controlling” to lead her? A wise commitment-man must choose a woman who respects his preparation for and focus on commitment.

Now the woman might say that she’s changed, and now she is ready to get serious with a real man. But what reasons does a man have to think that her change is genuine? What has she read to change her mind? What actions show that she wants a man to lead in moral and spiritual areas? What evidence is there that she is now an activist against feminism, promiscuity, abortion, divorce, socialism and single motherhood? Isn’t a man entitled to ask for some evidence of what caused her to change her mind about which men are good, and what relationships are for?

Suppose that her sudden change is just because she recognizes that her recreational premarital sex approach to getting a no-commitment man to commit hasn’t worked. So she hasn’t changed which men she is attracted to, but now she just wants financial support and the social respectability of marriage. From a man she doesn’t admire, doesn’t respect, will not support, and will not follow. Is that a good value proposition for a commitment-man?

Marriage-minded men don’t marry in order to give a woman who prefer no-commitment men financial support and social respect. We marry in order to lead a family with the support of a woman who respects our focus on marriage and commitment. We don’t trust last-second conversions to the pro-patriarchy position. We have to be convinced that a woman really repented of her past, and now has a deep, Christian understanding of men, marriage and parenting. This is a nearly impossible task given the myths about men and marriage that are floating around in this secular leftist culture of feminism and misandry. In order to accept that the woman has changed, we expect to see the work you did to change your behavior patterns and beliefs from anti-marriage to pro-marriage. I have met a few women who have done this, including some of my trusted advisors… but it’s rare.

The importance of evidence in making selfish, reckless behavior unthinkable
My female advisors are always telling me to be more positive in my writing. “You must tell women what to do after mistakes have already been made!” OK, women: the solution is simple, and it’s found in Romans 12:1-2. You have to change your criteria for men, and your vision of marriage by consuming evidence that makes your prior decisions unthinkable. You must train yourself to disregard your feelings, your desires and cultural pressure. And then you must put your new mind into practice with your actions, including promoting your new vision for men, sex and marriage to other people in public. These actions will signal to men that you are serious about marriage.

The evidence is necessary because evidence helps everyone to do the right thing, regardless of feelings, desires and peer approval.

You wouldn’t waste your money on tattoos, alcohol, cigarettes and travel if you understood the financial demands of retirement and how to invest in order to be ready for retirement. Knowledge of investing and retirement overrides feelings, desires and peer pressure. If women do not prioritize learning the “boring” evidence about best practices for men, sex and marriage, then they will decide how to live based on their feelings, desires and the culture. In a secular left culture like this, a man with chastity and a good fortune will be attracted to women who have deliberately walled off sin by strengthening their ability to be good at marriage with evidence.

Movie “Unplanned” Banned In Canada Because of Pro Life Message

-Movie “Unplanned” Banned In Canada Because of Pro Life Message-

This story evoked so many emotions in me.

First, it gave me profound sadness that the Canadian people (as a whole) would be this heartless about he plight of the unborn.

Then, I became angry. Not so much angry at the people of Canada as I am ANGRY at Satan and his minions. He is the father of the pro-choice baby killing movement, and the crazed groups of people who march for their right to slaughter the unborn – even up to the day of birth; are following Satan and they’re not ashamed of it.

“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly” (John 10:10). KJV

If you do not see this as satanic, then if I were you – I’d check my spiritual condition.

Canadian Cinemas ‘Effectively Ban’ Film ‘Unplanned’ Over ‘Pro-Life Content’

According to its producers, pro-life film Unplanned has been effectively “banned” in Canada due to several prominent Canadian distributors’ refusal to pick up the film because of its pro-life content.

Both Landmark and Cineplex, “two of the largest distributors in Canada,” have refused to run Unplanned in Canadian theaters. Writer and producer for the film, Chuck Konzelman expressed his belief that it was due to the film’s pro-life content and not due to a “lack of consumer demand.”

Konzelman explained that “Canadian law requires that films have distributed so that they can be shown theatrically.” Additionally, films cannot be granted an official rating if there’s no distributor attached either. Thus Unplanned will not be playing in Canada.

The producer elaborated, claiming that Cineplex for example, “basically has monopolistic power… The National Post mentions them as controlling nearly 80 percent of all movie screens, and from our limited experience, they seem to have many of the most desirable locations, in and near the major metropolitan areas”

“Rejection by Cineplex basically means we’re not playing in Canada,” he added. The distributor also gave “unsatisfactory answers” as to why they rejected Unplanned, and Konzelman mentioned that it is “highly unusual for a successful indie U.S. film to lack theatrical distribution in Canada. The movie should have started distribution in Canada in March and at the time of its premiere in the United States.”

Landmark has yet to comment on Konzelman’s statement, however Mongrel Movies, another major Canadian distributor was forthcoming about its decision to leave Unplanned untouched. Konzelman mentioned that the distributor refused the film based on its “content,” but since they admitted there was “nothing objectionable in the film;” there was “no foul language, no nudity, no sexuality, and the only violence is that which is necessarily connected with an abortion procedure,” Konzelman concluded that “it’s the pro-life message itself which is objectionable.”

He mentioned that this foul play on the part of the distributors won’t go down quietly though, claiming that “Cineplex, as well as other distributors, and shareholders may suffer profit losses throughout the summer season and into Christmas as a result of the ban.”

Abby Johnson, the current pro-life champion and former Planned Parenthood employee on whose story Unplanned is based, weighed in on the Canadian ban in early May. She claimed, “I would like to say I’m surprised, but I’m not,” adding, “I have to wonder what they’re afraid of.”

Speaking at Canada’s annual March for Life, Johnson urged Canadians to “defend ‘fearlessly’ the sanctity of human life,” and poked them a bit for being “the most polite people in the world.” On March 9, she pushed them saying, “You gotta stop being so dang polite. Life is on the line. Children are being killed, dismembered in their mothers’ wombs. There is nothing polite about abortion.”source

I hope and pray that Cineplex and other distributors and share holders suffer major profit losses because of the people of Canada saying ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!

I also pray that the powers that be in these immoral companies suffer so much loss, that they go bankrupt!

I weep when I think that Steven Harper just years ago was the PM of Canada. He is a Christian who loves Israel and more importantly loves our Lord Jesus Christ. He served from 2006 to 2015. The PM now is Justin Trudeau and that is a subject for another article.

Canadian Christians – stand up for what is right! Stand together with our Lord Jesus! Remember that He is with us in this battle between good and evil!

Criminalizing Christianity In Canada Has Begun

While Christians in the U.S. were given a reprieve with the election in 2016 of Donald Trump; Canadian Christians have been suffering under the Globalist/Marxist rule of Justin Trudeau.

Don’t let his cute face fool you – he is a snake in the globalist grass, and Christians in Canada are becoming alarmed. Before Trudeau came to rule, Canada had a wonderful PM, Steven Harper, a Christian man and a friend to Israel.

“When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn” (Proverbs 29:2). KJV

I have tried to keep up with reports about Trudeau through the years. Today, a reader of my articles wrote to me about the Leftist PM of her country. It was heart wrenching as I read her words. She asked for much prayer for Canada.

Canada Moves to Ban Christians From Demonstrating in Public Under New Anti-Hate Proposal

The Canadian province of Ontario is considering legislation that would officially criminalize Christianity.

Legislation proposed in the Canadian province of Ontario would criminalize public displays by Christians deemed hateful to Muslims, the LGBT community and other victim groups designated by the left.

The bill, “Prohibiting Hate-Promoting Demonstrations at Queen’s Park Act, 2019,” bans any demonstration, rally or other activity that is deemed hateful by the Speaker from being permissible on legislative grounds – effectively insulating the government from Christian speech.

Life Site News explains that the nebulous nature of Canada’s anti-hate laws essentially give leftist legislators carte blanche to ban all Christian protest:

The problem with this bill, however, lies in the fact that the definition of “hate” is uncertain under Canadian law. As a result, unfortunately, the use of the word “hate” can be a useful tool for some to prevent differing views from being expressed. That is, the word “hate” can be used to silence opposing views expressed when, in fact, the views are simply a reasonable expression of belief.

This concern is based on actual experience. Canadians have already experienced the contempt shown by the Supreme Court of Canada towards Section 2 of the Charter of Rights which provides for freedom of opinion, expression and religion. In the Trinity Western Christian University case (2018), a private Christian university’s moral covenant was deemed hateful and discriminating. In the Bill Whatcott case (2013), the Supreme Court of Canada concluded that the effects of an expression used, not the communicator’s intent, are what is relevant. The court went on to conclude that “truthful statements and sincerely held beliefs do not affect the finding of “hate”. Mr. Whatcott merely expressed in his pamphlet the well-established facts about homosexuality which the court held to be “hateful”. It is worth noting that the Saskatchewan Court of Appeal, presumably consisting of equally learned judges, had previously concluded that the pamphlet was not hateful. The Supreme Court of Canada prides itself on being a “progressive” court and has an established bias as evidenced in a series of decisions that have struck down laws based on traditional values. There is little likelihood that the court will protect tradition-based groups if they are denied the right to demonstrate at the provincial legislature.

As Canada becomes more restrictive toward Christianity, they open their arms for the LGBT agenda and Islam to take a foothold in their culture.

The Royal Canadian Mint issued a commemorative coin last month to celebrate homosexual love as a core principle of Canadian society.

“Marking 50 years since a landmark decision that began a process of legal reforms to recognize the rights of LGBTQ2 Canadians is a powerful way to recognize Canada’s profound belief in equality and inclusion,” said Marie Lemay, president and CEO of the Royal Canadian Mint.

Meanwhile, the far-left Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has been revealedto be plotting different ways to bring ISIS terrorists to his nation and possibly be re-introduced in public life.

“None of the options are ideal and all present different challenges and risks,” said the three-page secret paper, which was heavily redacted after its release through the Access to Information Act.

As globalism and liberalism takes a stronger hold in Canada, the government can be expected to become even more hostile to Christianity and more hospitable to subversive agendas. source

If the Conservatives lose the White House in 2020, that which is happening in Canada will certainly happen here.

Courageous Conversations National Gathering 2019

My key take-away’s from the conference:

Walter Strickland’s definition of sin as, “Creations deviation from Gods design.” Sounds simple but in a culture, where being a “sinner” is almost the equivalent of the scarlet letter A on one’s chest banishing them to hell; not a symptom of a fallen world that all humans experience. I see this definition as necessary to keep us all grounded and repentant.

John Kinney’s statement, “Guess what yall. All of this is speculation. All of it……I love God so much I don’t wanna be satisfied with simplistic responses to complex issues that privilege me to be comfortable while somebody else is victimized.” We often forget that none of us is God and the God of the Bible is so big that He can’t fit the totality of Himself in 66 books, denominations or all of mankind’s theological understanding combined. Hence conversations not debates.

I challenge you to view at least one of the discussions and tell me what you think!

Please take the time to check out Jude 3 Project’s Podcast, Youtube Channel and Facebook page. The website http://www.Jude3project.com also offers a bibliography of Early African Christianity and information on their upcoming curriculum: Through the Eyes of Color. Bible”R”Us

We all remember Toys”R”Us, right? Talk about toy heaven. Truly every 4 year olds dreams came true there. They had aisles and aisles of every toy you could imagine, so what kid didn’t love this place?

When we were little, some of us may have had that one toy/material item that just had to go everywhere with us, or we would pretty much die without it. I had a white blanket with teal bordering, and bunnies on it that had to experience my whole day with me. The older we got, our moms and dads did their best to subtly take it away, and as we got older, the less we “needed” to have it. Instead of cool toys, our older, responsible, boring adult selves apparently needed other less fun things like food, water, shelter, a job, etc.

As I sat in Bible Study on a Wednesday night, I looked down at my beautiful leather bible with my name engraved at the bottom, in gold. Bless my sweet husband. I thought to myself, “I love it,” “I need it,” “I can’t live without it.” I love my bible, I need my bible, and I absolutely, irrevocably cannot live without my bible. My bible goes with me everywhere, it has pages and pages of all the information I need, to live a God-fearing life. What person wouldn’t love their bible?

Hebrews 4:12 “For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.”

We should all label the Bible as our most prized possession. We should carry it around with us at all times, because if we don’t have it, we just might die. Just as we once walked down the aisles and aisles of toys at Toys”R”Us, we should study the pages and pages of God’s word and continue to strive to be righteous. The Bible is our firm foundation for the life we chose to live as Christians, and the life God expects us to live as His children. We should treat it with the upmost respect and bring it with us on all of life’s journeys in our temporary home.

Side note: Even though Toys”R”Us went out of business, the Bible NEVER will.

Mind, Body, Soul – The Harmonic Symphony Of Faith

As a young Christian, I was an Altar Boy, learned the Holy Mass in Latin, respected the Institution of Church, and accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior. Life was simple; you honored God with your life, you became more familiar with the Bible, and you consciously attempted to avoid Sin.

And then you grew up to join the world of Adults. Life became more complex, more interesting, more opportunistic; indeed, more dangerous. New emotions were born, along with the awesome sense of independence, responsibility, and choice; yet was fraught with anxiety, fear, learning, self-awareness, and sense of purpose. Self-doubt became a familiar foe, and uncertainty, as well as unsureness, occupied the top floor in your mind.

Adulthood was a vast swimming pool, inhabited by a plethora of personalities, agendas, boundaries, opportunities, detours, dangers, and few reassurances, if not, real and true friends.

Even as a young child, then youth, and now, adult, I’ve possessed a unique ability to recognize patterns, whether they be mathematical, associative, visual, environmental, behavioral, societal, or spiritual. Patterns, when examined and analyzed, yielded profound insight, dare I offer to say, wisdom when combined with personal experience and knowledge.

Mind, Body, and Soul, is one of those amazing euphemisms that lends itself to analogies, corollaries, and logical deduction. My intuition leads me to associate it with the traditional Christian prayer and Mass opening symbology, i.e., “In the Name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit”. Specifically, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Indeed, Christianity is steeped in Trinity, as in things grouped in three’s.

Let’s begin appropriately with the Mind and how it relates to the Father. The mind is the head or leader of the body, as is the father in a family. It is the origin of thought, ideas, innovation, solutions, and planning, as it relates to the body, as is the father as he relates to his family. Likewise, its primary function is to protect the body, like a father protects his family.

Following, the Body is to the Mind as the Son is to the Father. Both are inherently submissive, take direction and are dependent upon their predecessors. Until fully trained or conditioned, both grow by learning via cause and effect relationship. Both mature from creation and both share an intensely intimate relationship with their Master. Both provide iterative feedback in an ongoing fashion.

And, at last, the Soul and its comparison with the Holy Spirit. As the soul represents the ethereal origin of our human/mortal component of Christianity and our existence, the Holy Spirit shares that role with the Father and the Son. Each represents intangible, yet necessary if not essential form and function as parts of the whole.

Most notably, God is the divine and harmonic symphony of Peace, Love, Joy; and Life. We exist solely because of, and for, His preference and direction. It is in our, or more precisely, your best interest to acknowledge His existence and presence. It is, however, your choice to accept Him as your personal savior and King.

Bottom line, to Believe is a Bittersweet Symphony. Accountability with Eternal Life. God Bless you and Be well.

WHY GIVING IS BETTER THAN RECEIVING AS A CHRISTIAN

Why Giving Is Better Than Receiving:

God himself gave His begotten son to save the Human Kind. In the book of Mark 20:35 ‘There is more happiness in Giving rather than Receiving”. Giving is in the Bible, and thus as Christian, the Bible is our command and guider; therefore, we should follow.

In our life, we meet with people who need our help either in material things or spiritual help. Thus raising the need why the Christian should give more and expect less from others, and the Bible says “it is more blessed to give than to receive.” If you are a Christian and you are yet to embraces the acts of giving others, I believe this article will help you change and begin giving more and expecting less from other people.

Christians should show mercy to each other:

*Following God Commands
*It is our responsibility to help
*It is an act of happiness
*Act of receiving God Blessings
*We Give to thanks, God
*Giving is relatively easy
*God uses His power through Giving

Christian Should Show Mercy To Each Other:

Christian should ensure they show some mercy to each other through giving instead expecting to receive. Each Christian is called to extend the hand of mercy to other people, especially those in need of our help. Some people are poor in heart, and others lack material things. With these people in society, it is our obligation to shows some help to such people. In the Bible, the acts of compassion and mercy are numerously mentioned, thus requiring Christian to adhere.

Following God Commands:

God gave us commandment in the Old Statements where we as Christian we are supposed to follow and ensure we provide some financial help to other people in the society. Lord, Himself gives us more and thus, as Christian, we should also help our neighbors who are in need. Besides that, if giving is in the Bible, therefore a Christian, we have nothing but to follow the Bible and practice what God demands from us as Christian.

It Is Our Responsibility To Help:

Every Christian has a responsibility to help one another irrespective of the background difference. In society, some people are going through significant challenges in life, which call for help from all Christian. Today, if all Christian would embrace giving more than receiving the World, could be a better place.

If God Himself helped humanity, thus, the Christians should emulate Him through helping one another. In my life as a Christian, I have embraced helping other people without necessarily expecting to receive anything.

It Is An Act Of Happiness:

Sharing brings happiness to those receiving, and thus, there is a need for the Christian to embrace giving rather than waiting to receive from others. As Christian, we should champion happiness to other people in life, especially those who are less fortunate in our society. As Christian from our church, we decided to help the street kids, and we were able to put a smile on their faces. In doing such kind of acts as Christian, it was an act of extending happiness to those people who could be grieving.

Act Of Receiving God Blessing:

God blesses the hand that gives, as Christian; we should always give to expects more blessing from God. The small acts of love and compassion we show to our brothers and sisters as Christian it would lead to us receiving more blessing from God. Blessing from the Almighty Lord is what we as Christian need to grow and be able to fight all the battles which the Satan has put on us.

Giving Thanks To God:

Through giving others, it shows an act of giving thanks to Lord, the Lord blesses us with the material thing, and we can always give thanks to Him by helping others in society. Sometimes we get more blessing from God, and we forget to give thanks, and we tend to thinks that tithing is all that is needed from us as Christian. However, that is not the case for Christian as we are supposed to tithe and also give to other people in our life.

Giving Is Relatively Easy:

Sometimes giving is an easy activity and only requires little from us. For instance, there are many ways you can give to others. You can offer to others your time where you sacrifice your time for other people in society. On the other hand, a Christian can provide warmth friendship to other people, thus making them feel compassion and love.

God Uses His Power Through Giving:

We as Christian, we are the Ambassador of the Lord, and thus, Lord can use us to manifest His love to the universe. When going through some difficulties in life, one would pray to God, and He answers those prayers through those people around you. For instance, a Christian may be used by the Lord in answering someone else prayer, which shows some power of God. We should always open our heart and allows God to use us in manifesting his power to all Christians.

Conclusion:

We need to embrace giving rather than expecting to receive since it has more Blessing from God. Many people need our help both spiritually and also in material things, thus showing the need for Christian to give more. There is a need for the Christian to ensure they demonstrate some acts of love and also compassion to each other to ensure no one is suffering in our midst.

Lord blesses us through small acts of helping other people; thus, we as God ambassador, we should manifest this in our life. For example, there orphans children and also streets kids who need our help to survive, and we should extend the hand of compassionate to them. Besides that, there are those people who are poor in their heart, and as Christian, we should help them.
